2 Words, Endless Possibilities: L!fe Happens

It happens to all of us. There's no forecasting it, preventing it, or stopping it. It just happens. This thing, you ask?! The thing I'm referring to is life ... Now, since we can't forecast, prevent, or stop it, we can only accept it. Which I'm sure all of us are pretty familiar with.

In life, there are events that come up from time to time that can make us go through a whirlwind of emotions. Sometimes we're happy, others we're sad, and if we're lucky, the happiness will last a little longer.

5 of minutes mom!

For the past few months, I've been in a weird funk. Depressed, not so much ... maybe a little. It seems I've lost interest in a lot of things I used to be excited about. It gets harder and harder for me to actually want to get ready and leave the house. Some days, all I would want to do is stay in bed, watch t.v., and really comprehend everything that's happened.

Am I alright?

As life happens, circumstances change and sometimes I feel helpless. Don't get me wrong; I am a true believer in that everything happens for a reason. But that doesn't mean I can't be a little upset once in a while. Trying to wait out the storm, being patient, isn't always easy when things aren't necessarily going your way.

I am grateful that all my friends and family all seek to me for just about everything. Talking, venting, crying, laughing; all while drinking (wine always makes things better). Whatever you need, I'm there! In a way, I feel like I'm their garbage can. You dish it, I take it. And hopefully along the way, I can provide advice and words of wisdom to them. But sometimes I wonder ... where's mine?! Oh yeah! This blog is my venting can. :)
Safe to say Netflix has been a serious companion of mine for the past few months. Today, I stumbled upon a movie called L!fe Happens. Hence the title of this post ;]. It a movie about three girlfriends that live together. Dealing with relationships, focusing on their careers, and just having fun; sounds like the life of every 25 year old single gal. But ... Dun - dun - dunnn ... One of them gets pregnant and decides to keep it. However, they are definitely not going to let this minor interference steer them off their original course to conquer the world!

Not only was this a good movie but it really opened my small eyes a bit. Things happen and you just have to adjust to it. They may not be a part of your original plan but you still have to keep going. And you better believe that life will go on, with or without your approval. Adjusting your plans isn't necessarily a bad thing. You never know, it could be a new opportunity in disguise. Besides, you need a little hardship to appreciate the good; it keeps life interesting to say the least.

Just remember, things are going to happen. They are going to make us happy, sad, crazy, mad, and ecstatic. But that's life! Embrace each and every day. Things really do happen for reason. You may not see the lesson that you're supposed to learn at first, but believe me, things will ultimately make sense in the end.
